Showcasing UK innovation at Europe’s largest EV Expo
The Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) is championing a selection of Britain’s best net-zero carbon automotive technology at this week’s Battery Show & EV Tech Europe Digital Days Expo 2021.
Usually held in Stuttgart in Germany, the event is a being held on a virtual platform with the hope that a physical expo can be held later in the year. However, that has not stopped the UK exhibitors, part of the UK Government Pavilion, from showcasing their next-generation low carbon automotive innovations.
Battery Show & EV Tech Europe Digital Days Expo is Europe’s largest trade fair for electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid vehicle technology. APC manage the UK Pavilion in partnership with Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, Department for International Trade, SMMT and Innovate UK.
This year will also feature the Automotive Transformation Fund, a long-term programme designed to enable the UK to build the world’s most comprehensive and compelling electrified vehicle supply chain, powered by a collaboration between the Advanced Propulsion Centre, the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy, the Department for International Trade and Innovate UK.
Speaking as part of the event Automotive Transformation Director, Julian Hetherington, explained how ATF can strengthen the already strong ties between the UK and Germany:
The UK represents a significant opportunity for global and domestic investment, unlocked through the rapid growth in demand in the UK and by the Trade and Cooperation Agreement with the EU – reinforcing our longstanding close connection for technology and manufacturing collaboration.
Other exhibitors on the UK Pavilion include:
