Low carbon technology innovators head to Japan to showcase the best of british

  • 20 companies will be heading to JSAE 2016 Automotive Show as part of a UK Pavilion
  • UK Pavilion will showcase a diverse range of low carbon technology developers along with their products and will also feature academic experts
  • The Pavilion will feature 2 of the UK’s Automotive technology funding agencies – Advanced Propulsion Centre and Innovate UK
  • 9 of the UK companies will be sharing their innovations at a UK technical congress

A total of 20 British companies will be attending the Japanese Society of Automotive Engineers 2016 Annual Congress in Pacifico, Yokohama. The UK companies will showcase the best of British on the UK Pavilion, with the aim to attract inward investment into the UK, trade with Japanese OEMs and form collaborative partnerships with Japanese R&D organisations.

The UK Pavilion will also include some of the UK’s key support organisations such as The Advanced Propulsion Centre, Innovate UKNiche Vehicle NetworkNorth East Automotive Alliance and MAKE it Sunderland. A range of exciting UK companies will also form the UK Pavilion, these are as follows:

AVID Technology Group

SR Technology Innovations

Designs and engineers electronics and control solutions for vehicle applications, focusing primarily on electro-mechanical systems, new engine technologies and digital communications products

The UK has a half day seminar within the JSAE Technical Congress entitled “Innovation in the UK.” This will give the chance for 9 of the UK companies attending JSAE to explain their technologies and why the UK is a thriving place to develop low carbon technology. The Advanced Propulsion Centre, Innovate UK, Magnomatics, Hyperdrive, Johnson Matthey Battery Systems, McLaren Applied Technologies, Avid Technology Ltd, Niche Vehicle Network and Saietta will all present at the Forum.
