APC launches wave 2 of its technology developer accelerator competition

Making £4.6 million match funding available to technology developers. The Technology Developer Accelerator Programme (TDAP) supports micro, small and medium-sized technology developers with low-carbon propulsion solutions that can be applied to the automotive sector. It allows companies to identify routes into the automotive market, by accelerating technology development cycles and preparing them to be commercially viable.

Speaking at the launch of the second wave of TDAP funding, APC’s Head of SME Programmes, Les Gill, said:

As the UK automotive industry looks to position itself as a leader in low-carbon propulsion technologies, it is vital that it works collaboratively across sectors to develop the best solutions. The TDAP competition allows innovators from all sectors to put forward new technology that could benefit the automotive industry, specifically in terms of low emission powertrains.

The TDAP pilot competition, which came to a close last year, has enabled six companies to develop innovative low-emissions technology for automotive applications, and supported them in opening dialogue with major automotive suppliers and OEMs.
