Nissan – HEDB
From Tynemouth to Taipei
Through its APC project with Nissan, UK SME, Hyperdrive has become the first company to get access to Nissan’s high-energy density EV battery cells. This has opened up markets in electric vehicle and static energy storage battery packs. The project has supported Hyperdrive’s growth from 12 to 42 people over a two-year period and supported a £40m deal with Foxlink to manufacture cells in Taiwan, bringing profit and continued investment to the UK.
