New Cenex-Connected Automated Mobility to take place alongside LCV 2019
A new event will be launched at Cenex’s 12th annual Low Carbon Vehicle Event – Cenex-LCV 2019 – signifying the importance of making future transport smart, connected and clean.
Branded Cenex-Connected Automated Mobility, it will run alongside the 12th LCV show on the 4th and 5th September 2019. It will be co-located with Cenex-LCV2019 at Millbrook Proving Ground, with its own contained space, consisting of a dedicated exhibition, a seminar hall and networking area.
Organisations in the CAV arena from R&D, academic research, collaborative projects and test facilities will showcase the cutting-edge technology that is being developed to put the UK in front in the race to autonomy.
The UK has been establishing itself at the forefront of innovation when it comes to Connected Automated Mobility, which is expected to be a £907 billion market by 2035. This increase in focus has been reflected in the LCV annual event over the past couple of years, which last year featured its largest ever CAV Showcase. This included indoor and outdoor exhibition space, a chance for companies to present findings from leading R&D projects, and a chance to meet with the Meridian-funded CAV testbeds.
As the conversations around the connection between low-carbon vehicles and CAV intensifies, the collaborative approach of the events shows the importance of the two sectors linking together to deliver a smart, connected, low-carbon future.
Robert Evans, CEO of Cenex said:
With the CAV Showcase attracting a high-level of engagement throughout last year’s event, it seemed like a natural progression to launch a dedicated Connected Automated Mobility Event, to satisfy growing interest and demand from the Cenex-LCV audience. We also hope to attract new attendees to the UK capabilities showcase and engage with informers to discuss emerging technologies, industry issues and what the future holds. We are working closely with the support of the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV), Innovate UK and the Department for International Trade to ensure the Cenex-Connected Automated Mobility Event demonstrates the strength of UK connected and autonomous vehicle ideas to the world.
The Cenex-Connected Automated Mobility Event will provide a consolidated dissemination of R&D and testbed projects funded by CCAV and Innovate UK, as well as showcase international exhibitor activities and welcome overseas delegations.
The UK Pavilion will remain centre stage at the Low Carbon Vehicle Show, promoting innovation in the UK, the opportunities available for support, as well as explaining the link between low-carbon and CAV technology.
